​SYNOPSIS: Chinese Republicans When high-flying finance it girl Katie Liu loses out on the promotion of a lifetime to a nepo-baby coworker, she embarks on a treacherous endeavor to make a worker's union out of her Republican work aunties. Welcome to the world of Chinese Republicans, where the best bags are Birkins, the best shoes are Prada, and the best president is Reagan.​

ABOUT THE ARTISTS


aLEX LIN (Playwright)
Alex Lin calls herself “just a girl from Jersey.” Her plays have been developed at Roundabout, Second Stage, NYTW, MTC, Rattlestick, the O'Neill, South Coast Rep, New Harmony, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Two River, Playwrights Realm, Central Square Theatre, Amphibian Stage, Theater Mu, and Cape Cod Theater Project. As an actor, she has performed at Actors Theatre of Louisville, HVSF, Ma-Yi, Ojai Playwrights Conference, New Victory, Fault Line, Ensemble Studio Theater, Jewish Plays Project, and Commonwealth Shakespeare. Guest lectures at CMU, Rutgers, and Union College. Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist and Weissberger Award nominee. Juilliard.

Director Chay Yew’s New York credits include the Public Theater, Playwrights Horizons, New York Theatre Workshop, Signature Theatre, New York City Center Encores! Flea, Playwrights Realm, Audible Theatre, Rattlestick, Ensemble Studio Theatre, National Asian American Theatre, and Ma Yi Theatre Company. His regional credits include the Goodman Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Conservatory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theater, Arena Stage, La Jolla Playhouse, Alley Theatre, South Coast Rep, Old Globe, Center Theatre Group, Hartford Stage, Denver Center Theater, Huntington Theatre, Seattle Rep, Kennedy Center, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Victory Gardens, PlayMakers Rep, Empty Space, Portland Center Stage, East West Players and Singapore Repertory Theatre. His opera credits include the New York premiere of An American Soldier (Perelman), and world premieres of Ainadamar (co-production with Tanglewood and LA Philharmonic) and Rage D’Amors (Tanglewood). Jodi Long 
A veteran of Stage, Film and Television, Jodi made history in 2021 winning an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress as “Mrs. Basil E” in Netflix's DASH & LILY, becoming the first Asian-American actor to win in any Acting category. Jodi made her Broadway debut at age 7 in NOWHERE TO GO BUT UP directed by Sidney Lumet, the first of five Broadway shows: LOOSE ENDS with Kevin Kline, THE BACCHAE, Stephen Sondheim’s GETTING AWAY WITH MURDER and the revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's FLOWER DRUM SONG. Films include: NIGHT SWIM, SHANG-CHI & THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS, THE HOT CHICK, PATTY HEARST, STRIKING DISTANCE and the upcoming MOTHER WOLF.  Television: CHICAGO MED, CURB YOUR ENTUSIASM, Margaret Cho's mother in ALL AMERICAN GIRL, SULLIVAN AND SON, THE MANDALORIAN.

Lennox T. Duong (Stage Directions) is a first-generation Vietnamese-American born and raised in Fresno, CA. She recently understudied for the role of HANNAH in Shit. Meet. Fan. at MCC. She played SEAN in the new musical HELLO KITTY MUST DIE at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023. Duong’s workshopped new plays with Williamstown Theater Festival, La Jolla Theater Company, SOHO Rep, the Song Collective, and NAATCO. Training: The Juilliard School. @lennox.t.duong

Ben Langhorst (Waiter/Others) is an actor, writer, and composer based in New York. As an actor, he has worked with the Roundabout Theatre Company, Second Stage Theater, Atlantic Theater Company, Next Door @ NYTW, the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, and Pipeline Theatre Company. On screen, his work has been seen in multiple programs for HBO/Max, and the independent film, Allswell in New York (Tribeca Film Festival). As a writer/composer/arranger, his work has been seen at Ars Nova, Dixon Place, Judson Memorial Church, Joe’s Pub, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts (BFA: Drama).

​Lydia 黎珈璐 [lí-jiā-lù] is a theatre creator, performer, and teaching artist. Brujx and kenshi. They/Them. English, Chinese, Japanese and emoji user. A living evidence of glocalization, feminism and radical imagination. Missioning the untold stories of the Chinese diaspora.
A Resident Artist at Mabou Mines ‘23, an Audience Favorite of SparkFest ‘24 Acting Competition at Amphibian Stage, an ELI alum at APAP ‘25, and currently the inaugural Paris Hotel Fellow ‘23-26 at a todo dar productions led by Virginia Grise. Was Yīng Ruòchéng in Salesman Zhī Sǐ at Connelly Theatre. Lead in short film Firecracker, streaming on Netflix now. More at lilydia.com.
