David Fuller is an actor, director, producer, teacher, theater critic and arts advocate whose professional career began with the Dartmouth Summer Rep. under the leadership of the late Rod Alexander in 1974. A 1976 graduate of Dartmouth, he received his actor training at LAMDA. A member of AEA and AFTRA, he has acted regionally throughout the US, both on and off Broadway, in London, on daytime television, and is an alumnus of The Acting Company. David received his MFA in Directing from Brooklyn College. Recent directing in NYC: Happy End (2007 Innovative Theater Award nomination for Best Musical), Joe Piscopo’s Son (one man show), both at Theater Ten Ten; the world premiere of Marc Blitzstein's translation of Brecht's Mother Courage at Jean Cocteau Rep.; The Singapore Mikado (5 Innovative Theatre Award nominations) at Theater Ten Ten. He was Producing Artistic Director of Off Broadway’s Jean Cocteau Rep. for 6 seasons, producing 33 plays and musicals.  Cocteau directing highlights: The Threepenny Opera by Brecht/Weill/Blitzstein (the most successful production in the Cocteau's history), Dames at Sea, The Cradle Will Rock; new commissioned translations of The Marriage of Figaro (Beaumarchais, trans. Rod McLucas), Intrigue and Love (Schiller, trans. LM Macy) and The Bourgeois Gentleman (Moliere, trans. McLucas). David is currently Executive Director of Theater Ten Ten and is a staff reviewer for nytheatre.com. He is a past chair of AASC (Arts Advisors to NYC Council). David resides in Brooklyn Heights with his wife and partner Judith Jarosz.
